Well Done Mum is a large scale informational site on pregnancy and parenthood. The majority of the site is static content, but there are some tech elements such as a due date calculator, a baby namer, an order form and database, and a pregnancy tracker. The tech elements were done in .NET and styled up with CSS. The initial homepage design was done by another designer and I took over at that point to work out design and cut up of the inside pages. I also met and worked with the client to work out the informational structure and population of content.
The McLoughlinsRS B2B project involved re-skinning an old e-commerce site from another designers concept. I worked closely with the developer throughout to restructure dynamic layouts from table based layout to more modern layout techniques. The majority of the site is viewed through the login mode with various catalogue and basket options for the user. The site in maintained and updated through database entry on the clients side.
The Ocode site came from a new start up company. The aim of the site is to inform users about the product and get them to sign up to Ocode. Ocode is a coupon system for your mobile phone. The user downloads coupons to their phone and can redeem them in shops by showing the phone. Again I cut this site up from another designers concept, after that I was responsible for the design for the inside pages. After an intial period of maintenance on the site, it has since been handed over to the client to maintain themselves.
Kitchenworld was one of the first sites I cut up on joining Clearscape. It's a re-design of an old site so much of the work was involved in porting over content and making it sit correctly in the new designs. Due to cost cuts on their side the site has since been taken over by an in-house designer in Kitchenworld. Much of the navigaton etc has been changed from the original design but the basic structure still stands.
PF O'Reilly is a typical small-scale static brochure site for a solicitors firm. It was an interesting project because the client was quite interested in SEO so I went through the site and meta tagged appropriately. I also added the site to Google Webmaster Tools to allow for future investigation into what words are being indexed from the site and advise them to adjust content accordingly. As with all sites that we create the markup is the most important SEO tool.
